About the Artist

I am an artist working in oil on canvas, painting landscapes inspired by nature’s ever changing light. To me, a landscape is more than a place, it is a feeling. My paintings are therefore not about depicting nature exactly as it appears, but about conveying the experience and emotion I feel when I am there.

What captivates me most in nature is the way light falls across the ground, how shadows shift between the trees, or how a path disappears into the unknown. It is these fleeting moments that catch my attention and become the starting point for my paintings.

In my work, I seek to create a balance between the figurative and the abstract. I am not striving for perfect detail, but rather for an atmosphere in which light takes centre stage. Through soft transitions, movement and a more intuitive approach, I aim to create paintings that leave space for the viewer’s own imagination and memories.

What makes my work distinctive is perhaps not the landscapes themselves, but the way they are portrayed. I try to paint what cannot always be seen, but can be felt, the stillness, the sense of presence, and the inner calm that nature can bring.

I hope that those who encounter my work will pause for a moment. That my paintings can offer a place for calm, reflection and presence, a reminder of the peace and stillness that nature can bring in a world that so often moves far too quickly.
